On Friday I attended the Scottish Dental Show in Glasgow. This was my first visit to a dental show so I didn’t really know what to expect but had an idea about what I might find from reading the exhibitor list and seeing reviews on the previous shows. I will be writing several articles based on what I found out at the show but this first light hearted article looks at what is inside a dental show goodie bag.
When I first arrived I was handed a bag that contained a show guide, magazine and several booklets and leaflets from sponsors. The bag also contained a tube of toothpaste and a brush head for an Oral-B electric toothbrush (sadly, no electric toothbrush though!).
As I worked my way through the stands, I acquired a number of other bits and pieces including pens, pencils, notepads, fabric shopping bag, key rings and samples. At the TePe stand, I received another bag from the rep and this one was a treasure chest of samples and products from this great company which included various types of interdental brushes, their new silicon interdental brushes and floss.
Throughout my visit, I collected a large number of booklets, leaflets and business cards from various organisations and the benefit of being given a bag right at the outset was soon apparent to keep everything organised and contained. So overall, very impressed with the contents of my goodie bag!
