There are a huge variety of products you can use to help you during your orthodontic treatment. Here are some that you may find useful.
Orthodontic Products
During the course of your orthodontic treatment, you are likely to acquire a large number of additional dental products that you will find incredibly useful. I know I certainly did and was still using up the surplus over a year after I finished treatment!
Cleaning around brackets and wires is quite a challenge and the need for excellent oral hygiene during orthodontic treatment is crucial if you want to complete treatment with a beautiful smile. There are a large number of products now available to help you from specially shaped toothbrushes and Bluetooth enabled electric toothbrushes to sterilising tablets used for keeping your aligners or retainers clean and fresh.

Most of the products on this page I have bought and used myself and the reviews are my honest thoughts on how useful the product has been to me. Some products have been sent to me for review and in these cases, I mention this in the post but the comments are my own.

Toothbrushes

Your dentist will be able to advise you on the best toothpaste to use whilst you are undertaking orthodontic treatment.
Orthodontic Wax
Wax is used to help protect your cheeks and tongue from soreness caused by brackets and wires.
Interdental brushes
Probably one of the most useful accessories to have whilst you undertake your treatment.
Electric toothbrush
A must-have gadget for many braces wearers that have become more affordable.
Mouthwash
Seek advice from your dentist as to the best type to use.
Water / air flosser
Great for getting to those hard to reach places.
Pluckers
A simple tool for helping you to remove your aligners.
Floss
Essential for cleaning around brackets and wires. Let your hygienist show you how to use it properly.
