Most brace wearers will soon discover that to get through the day, they will need to devise a small kit of essential items that will frequently come in handy. My own kit varied depending on what I was doing and where I was going but I always, and I mean always, had a soft interdental brush in my pocket to remove any offending food items after eating. For longer days out, I carried a small tooth brush and a travel size tube of toothpaste (freebies from the dentist usually), a small mirror and a few different size interdental brushes. Some people carry dental wax with them but I found I never needed to use it so didn’t carry this with me.
You may find that your orthodontist gives you a bag containing useful items when your braces are fitted but a quick trip to your local chemist will provide all that you need to prepare an essential braces kit.
