Next week sees the start of the 2019 British Orthodontic Conference which is being held in Glasgow. I will be attending the event and will be sharing the latest news from the conference as well as catching up with colleagues from across the UK.
In recent weeks, two speakers have contacted me to ask if they can reference my blog in their presentations which is something I’m immensely proud of. The readership of my blog continues to grow and I’m delighted to think I’m writing something that is of value to clinicians as well as patients.
The conference has a number of well known orthodontists speaking including Jay Bowman and Greg Huang from the US and Peter Miles from Australia. Professor Robert Winston is delivering a presentation on the opening day of the conference and throughout the three days there will be presentations on a wide range of topics. In addition to the main lecture programme, there will be skills clinics and a number of parallel sessions for all members of the orthodontic team.
The conference brings orthodontists together from across the UK and further afield to share learning and discuss the latest research and advances in orthodontics. There will also be representatives from different orthodontic companies in the exhibition area and I’m looking forward to seeing what’s new since the last conference.
